Creating an HTML/ FBML tab for your Facebook Fanpage

  • ·        First create a page or log in to your existing page.

  • ·        Then hit edit page.

  • ·        Once you are in the edit mode go to Applications.  Scroll down till you see the FBML Tab.

If the Tab is NOT there- Go to the search bar, type Static FBML, then click that application.  Click the “Add to My page/” From here it will prompt a pop screen that list all your facebook Fanpages.  You will select which fanpage you want the FBML tab on.  Once you do this follow the instructions above.

Click Edit on the FBML Interface.  First go to the header and select the title you want the tab to be called. Some examples are Welcome, Shop, services, etc.  Then in the FBML Message tab you can ad any text you want your fans to see.  You can ad an HTML code to cater to the tab you are creating.

A free online HTML editor you can use (if you are not confident in HTML) is http://online-html-editor.org/.  You can also you Photo Bucket to get a direct link to any image you want to use.

·        Once you get your code you can paste it in your FBML Message Tab… Then hit save

·        Then go back to Applications- Here you will see the tab you created.  In order to make the tab visible you will hit applications settings then add tab.

·        Then view the page and you will see your tab.  Here you can navigate were you want to be by dragging it.

To create a second tab-  Go to your new FBML tab, click ‘go to application’, scroll down to the lower left hand side of the and click Add another FBML Tab.  Then follow the previous steps.

The skies the limit with making a Tab.  Have fun with it and make it show your personality and your business brand.
